Aanchal Thakur (born 28 August 1996) is an Indian alpine skier. She represented India at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games which was held in Innsbruck. At the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games, She participated in the alpine skiing events: women’s slalom and women’s giant slalom. She is the sister of Himanshu Thakur who is also an international alpine skier.

Aanchal Thakur, a resident of Himachal Pradesh, is bringing laurels to the country in the asking. She is India’s first women alpine skier who won the 4 silver medal in an Alpine ski International Championship 2022 held in Dubai.
“It was a matter of great pleasure to bring the 4 silver medals to India”.
Nowadays, in a small village called Rua in Manali Alpine ski sport is flourishing, and more than 200 local players are involved in this game. 2 top players from Rua have played in the winter Olympics. Anchal Thakur tells that at the age of five she started this game with her grandfather and father.
