The UP Warriorz, a professional women’s cricket team, has chosen the Sarus crane, the tallest flying bird in the world and the state bird of Uttar Pradesh, as a symbol of the movement, grace, balance, and achieving new heights.
Coaching Staff
The team’s coaching staff includes
- Jon Lewis, a former England cricketer, as the Head Coach, and
- Anju Jain, the first Indian woman cricketer to represent the country in four ODI World Cups, as the Assistant Coach.
- Ashley Noffke, a former Australian cricketer, will be the Bowling Coach, and
- Lisa Sthalekar, a 4-time World Champion, will serve as a mentor.
